The Thin SmoothStar riser is placed on the front of the deck. It is required to level the height of the board so the back and front wheels grip at the same level. Due to the additional height of the SmoothStar Thruster, only a very thin riser is located on the front of the deck. The plastic is to give slight cushion and reduce vibrations from concrete and other rough surfaces.
